We made a temperature gauge using different colours to represent different temperatures.
We used blue for cold, yellow for cool, orange for warm and red for hot.
We brainstormed words for 'cold' 'warm' and 'hot'. We talked about what things we would see, feel, touch and taste for each of these.
Next, we moved around the room and decided on what places were cold, warm and hot.
Then we got to make a gauge with blocks, using the temperature colours, working from cold to hot.
Finally we made a temperature gauge that we could move up or down the scale to show the temperature. The day went from cool to hot!
